A division of Pierson Seed Producers, Rainbow Seeds is founded and managed by the fourth generation of our family, which first produced seed corn in 1904. Some of you may recall when we marketed corn under the founder’s name Krizer. Krizer "America’s Choice" Hybrid Corn varieties were widely used in the 1940s and 50s.

After several years of custom producing and packaging elite corn hybrids for many leading companies, we have decided to channel that experience toward the direct sale to farmers. Our knowledge of the characteristics of the leading corn hybrids enables us to custom design varieties that are uniquely adapted to your area.

We have selected only unique hybrids with proven performance. Relative maturities range from 100 to 120 days. All are sold in 80,000 or 90,000 kernel units (depending on seed size) with guaranteed germination and purity.

We have two goals in selling direct to farmers. We think that in spite of significant advances in hybrid performance, that today’s products can still be reasonably priced. In the hope of fulfilling this goal we have streamlined our marketing effort by minimizing the use or premiums and high dollar advertising. Secondly, we firmly believe in the small business approach, which is able to closely control quality, service and price. These characteristics are often overlooked by larger companies.
